more random pictures!

I've been a little better at keeping a camera close by so I can snap quick pictures of Haylie throughout the day. These are some of the pictures that I've taken lately!

Hanging out on momma's lap in her polar bear outfit!

I tried getting a picture of her in her BYU hat. She wasn't thrilled about it. That doesn't mean that she doesn't like BYU though! ;)

Snoozing on the couch. She's always doing crazy things with her arms and hands.

In her bouncer!

Isn't she beautiful?!

The cutest smile ever!

Sitting up like a big girl!

Haylie's doctor appointment went well this week! She dropped down to an even 8 lbs when we left the hospital and now she is back up to 8lbs 14 oz! She's healthy and growing!
I find myself sometimes thinking how I can't wait until Haylie gets to different stages in her growing up and I'm afraid I'm going to miss out on cherishing what is going on now.
Moms, what things do you love/miss about having a newborn?

That IS the cutest smile. Some things I miss about a newborn are...their sweet noises, that newborn baby cry, nursing, them falling asleep in your arms, holding them so close and they don't wiggle and scream for you to let them go, where ever you place them down is where they will be in 5 mins or even in 30 seconds, the way they have their hands in fists and randomly kick their legs, the way they curl up their legs when you pick them up and stick out their cute bum, and there's nothing like a newborns tongue, it's just so cute.....wow I think I could go on forever. Every stage has it's sweet sweet moments. Enjoy them all.

Just staring at them. The quiet peacefullness. How easily they fall asleep on you. Their sqeeks and stretches. Everything! I love newborns!

I am glad that you are keeping that camera close. I think the first WEEK of JR's birth, we took about 400 pics. Its awesome! You HAVE to have a camera with you at ALL times that first year!!

Look at that smile! What a cutie! I love how dependent they are a just floppy and fresh from heaven. I love their crazy facial expressions they get going sometimes too! I will tell you though- I do not miss being so worried about them breathing at night! I still stress about Mya in her crib (which is probably why she sleeps with me :) but not as bad as the first little while when they are most susceptible to SIDS.

I love that smile!
I think I miss having her nap on my shoulder the most. It was so sweet when Shelby cuddled up on my neck and snoozed away.
I love, love, love each different phase, though. You've got so much fun coming your way. I know you'll enjoy it all, you cute little mommy.

I don´t know how I ended up here, all the way from sweden. But now, when I'm here I have to answer your question:

I love to stay in the moment. It's so easy to hurry everything when you have children. I'm so much better doing that with my second child. Isn´t it called mindfullness? Well, that's the best with being a mum.

All my best wishes from a snowy and cold sweden!

I miss the cooing from the other room, and when they try to sing when they hear music. And the smell is the best! I also miss rocking them to sleep in the middle of the night. Sounds crazy, but I never felt a pull to be doing something else in the wee hours. Sometimes I would go get them even though they were sleeping and rock them. Enjoy her!
