Pilot Mountain! We stopped for a quick picture on our way up through Mount Airy to Meadows of Dan to hang out with all the East Coast Taylors!
Jake showed me around Mount Airy. I saw the high school, Main Street, the old house and everything else! It was fun to drive around there and see where Jake and the family lived. It's a way cute house! That house is up for sale right now if anyone is interested! ;)

We got up to Uncle Todd's and I got introduced to everyone and ushered right into the house where there was lots of goood food. Jake and I made ourselves a plate and started eating while we chatted with everyone. I certainly found out a lot of things about people in this family that I never knew! I guess Jerry is a tough-guy and Kelly isn't one to mess with either! I had suuuch a good time! I don't know if I've ever laughed so much in one day! After hanging out inside for a while, we all headed outside to pick up sticks. I decided to pull out the camera and Emery ate it up! I have tons of pictures of this little girl. I guess she got tired of being in front of the camera and decided she wanted to take my picture "hula hooting". Jake helped her take the picture of me.

Lionel is a huuuuge dog. I think he weighs something like 160 pounds! Crazy.

We stayed at Lane and TJ's house that night. TJ even made us breakfast the next morning before we took off. It was delicious!

This is the sunrise on our way home on sunday morning. We left at 7:00 so we could make it to church for Jake to teach EQ.

I surprised Jake on Easter with this basket for us! I'm so sneaky!

I think that's finally all of the updating that I have. We have the home teachers coming tonight!

I got a new cell phone when we switched me onto Jake's account! I love this phone! Jake and I have contests on who can get a better score on Brick Breaker. :)
We FINALLY found a butter dish! Everywhere we registered or shopped we would look for a good butter dish that we liked and usually no one had them! So, we were browsing around Crate and Barrel while we were in Portland and found this lovely stainless steel one! It has been working out nicely.

Jake took me around Olymipa to get some photographing in before we drove down to Portland that monday. I've been in a photographing slump but I'm starting to get the itch again! Washington is soo beautiful and green. Jake and I are way excited to get out there and finally settle in at one place. We found that Washington will fit us quite well. I love it there already!

Ouch. This is how much we paid for gas in Oregon and that's not even the most expensive that we saw there! So expensive.

One month down already!

It's my and Jake's one month anniversary today!

We have been in Washington since friday night. That was a long day of flying for us. We woke up saturday and ate some complimentary breakfast at our hotel and headed out to see the area! We went to 3 different apartments that we like but they don't have any information on availability for May yet so we gave our number to them and we'll find out where we'll end up! After apartment hunting, we were hungry and ended up at Costco and then took a drive all over town. We ended up out at the Port of Olympia where we walked out on the boat docks and decided that we really love this place! There was a restaurant out there on the very edge of the water that even had its own boat dock for people to float right up and park their boat for dinner! It was called Hearthfire Grill and it was amaaaazing. We shared an appetizer of baked crab, shrimp and artichoke dip with flat bread. I had a Top Sirloin steak with garlic mashed potatoes and Jake got the King Salmon with rice.

My photo professor introduced me to this photographer and I loooooove what this guy can do with his photographs. He shoots wildlife photography in Africa and has some amaaazing stuff. These kind of images make me crave to go out and shoot and wish that I was that good!!

Jake just arrived in Denver not too long ago. :( I'll be here alone for 2 nights. No fun! We went for a walk around Lake Lynn yesterday evening. It was so nice to get outside and do something active and get some fresh air. I took some pictures while out there so maybe I'll post some once I get them loaded on my computer.

I'm finally feeling tons better. Jake was a sweetheart taking such good care of me. He's so amazing! I'm pretty sure that I'm the one with the best Taylor boy! ;) I'm loving being married. It has been a little rough to be in a new place and adjusting but, at the same time, I'm loving North Carolina and taking care of my house.

Jake and I will be taking a trip to Washington on the 14th! We'll spend a few nights in Lacey and then drive down to Portland for a few more nights for Jake's work. We'll be looking at apartments all day that saturday and go to the ward that we might be in on that sunday. Very exciting!
